Advanced Features
Self-Hosted Remote Access, Not Public Relays
RustDesk-based Remote Control runs through RMMmax’s own private HBBS/HBBR rendezvous and relay servers on each AppBox, each protected by a shared key and a per-box Ed25519 keypair. Endpoints are never routed through RustDesk’s public relay infrastructure. Every endpoint gets a unique peer ID and a permanent connection password generated by RMMmax and encrypted at rest.
Three-Layer Logging
- System Logs — the central audit trail for every sync, tool action, error, and user-triggered operation, auto-pruned after 15 days.
- Access Logs — every console login/logout event per user, auto-pruned after 30 days.
- Per-Tool Logs — BitLocker, BleachBit, Printers, Chocolatey, Linux Packages, Homebrew, Windows Defender, SurfLog, Update Manager, Reboot Manager, Warranty, and CVE Intelligence each write their own filterable log stream.
PDF Reporting
Nearly every tool offers a Download PDF Report action at both the client (fleet-wide) and agent (single-endpoint) level — team-branded, with an executive summary, charts, and detail tables capped at 250 rows for readability. Confirmed on Update Manager, BitLocker, Antivirus, BleachBit, Windows Defender, CVE Intelligence, and PowerShell Manager.
Warranty Provider Coverage
Live today: Dell (TechDirect API), HP (CSS API key), Lenovo (public lookup). Registered but not yet live: Apple, ASUS, Microsoft, Toshiba. Virtual machines are automatically excluded from lookups.
Billing Engineering
Volume discount bands live in a single shared table, so a rate change applies uniformly across Essentials, Pro, and the MCP add-on. Usage is reported via peak-agent-count meter events with deterministic idempotency keys, so a retried billing request can never double-charge a customer. See Pricing for current rates.
